Biography

BACKGROUND AND EDUCATION

Born in Manchester, 1986.

June 2008 - Graduated from the Glasgow School of Art with BA (hons) Degree in Fine Art Photography.
Awarded 2,1 with Distinction in Historical and Critical Studies.

July 2009 with single extra event in September 2009 - Completed an Education and Out Reach Internship at the Centre For Contemporary Arts (CCA), Glasgow.

September 2010 - Due to start MLitt in Creative Education at Glasgow School Of Art, studying Fine Art Practice, linking current projects with education and community engagement focus.



PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

April 2010 - current
Programme Coordinator for Chinese Arts Centre, Manchester.

February - April 2010
Currently working on a number of projects with the Royal College Of Psychiatry (London), including advisory and curatorial roles for conferences and the college's Art Archive.

May - June 2009
Artist in Residence at Drummore Primary School with CCA, Glasgow, working on a Sensory Garden and Sensory workshops with the Primary 3 Class over the course of the Garden's installation.

October 2008 - June 2009
Art Teachers assistant at Hazelwood School and Kelbourne Primary School, both SEN Schools in Glasgow.

August 2008
Photographer of events and of Grizedale Arts projects for Arts Council North West, at Creamfields 2008, Cheshire.

July 2008
Commission for Photographic works - Permanent Installation work for 'Cail Bruich West', Glasgow.

July 2007
Photographer for Art Angel Project ‘High Wire’ with Catherine Yass, Exhibtion later held at CCA, Glasgow.

July 2006
Photographer for the shoot of a music video, Kezi Silverstone. Working for Dash productions, various sites in Cheshire.

Runner and photographer on video shoot for Gary Numan concert, The Apollo, Manchester.
